The Southern Grace of an Angel
Always dedicated, with a desire to please
Torrential outpour of emotions
Cascading down her sleeve
Giving thanks for the YOU I know
Skyward looking, from my knees
Determined, yet flexible, in principled ways
Cleansing of truths, through mindful heart
Emerald eyes a reflection
Foretelling her innermost hopes and dreams
Where others would have given up
You stood by me through thick and thin
Deep down we were always connected
A friendship with flawless seams
Zeal for life, and doing unto others
To be treated with respect and esteem
A glowing adoration for those she holds dear
An unsung hero, never looking for praise
The gem inside her heart
Filled with love and devotion
A belief in self, the intrinsic beauty in the mirror
My gift from God above, spiritual in all ways
Sprinkling her love without condition
She is the silver lining in a darkened cloud
It still gets me when I hear, ~ Darlin' ~
Spoken in Southern twang
Thunderbolt lightning, Bright sunshiny skies
